The Palm Sunday massacre occurred on March 28, 2010, in Yarnell, Arizona. During a mass prayer at St. Mary Community Church, 34-year-old Dennis Randall opened fired with a semi-automatic. 34 people were killed while 21 were injured. The shooting ended when a Yarnell police officer shot Randall dead. It was the 40th deadliest shooting in the United States.
