The Washington ski lodge shooting occurred on January 14, 2018 at St. Augustus Ski Lodge in Bellingham, Washington. The perpetrator, Derek A. Schoenarts, fatally shot 42 people (including his supervisor) and wounded another 23 before surrendering to police and being sentenced to 42 years in prison. The shooting was the 53rd deadliest shooting in the United States and the 5th deadliest shooting in Washington.
